A former employee of NJSC "Government for Citizens" A.K. Abdižaparov has been sentenced in Almaty for fraud, as a result of which he took possession of state-owned land plots.
According to the press service of the Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM), JSC "Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation 'Almaty'" received land plots of 6.3 hectares and 2.3 hectares for temporary use for five years.
As a former employee of "Government for Citizens" and understanding how the property registration system works, Abdižaparov submitted false agreements on the termination of temporary use contracts to the authorised bodies.
At the same time, he transferred fake akimat resolutions stating that the land plots had supposedly been transferred into private ownership. However, in reality, the akimat had not issued such resolutions.
As a result, he illegally re-registered the plots in the name of his company, LLP "Aisha Group", and sold them for 1.3 billion tenge.
By court order, the land plots, with a market value of 13.6 billion tenge, were seized. The court found Abdižaparov guilty under Article 190, Part 4, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Fraud") and sentenced him to 7 years in prison. The land plots were returned to state ownership; an innovation hub is planned to be built on their territory.
Recall that earlier it was reported that over the past three years, the territorial departments of the AFM have investigated 88 criminal cases related to the illegal registration of more than 1,800 vehicles, with the evasion of the primary registration fee amounting to 11.8 billion tenge.
There are 70 suspects, including employees of the Administrative Police Department, workers from NJSC "Government for Citizens", and notaries.
