The former akim of the Karasu district of the Kostanay region, Viktor Radchenko, is suspected of taking a bribe.
According to TobolInfo, the case involves money from a company that carries out road repairs. It is reported that the former akim is willing to enter into a procedural agreement in the form of a plea deal.
It has become known that the official left his post in March 2024, and nothing has been heard from him since. As it turns out, an investigation is underway regarding Radchenko.
"The Anti-Corruption Service for the Kostanay region reports that an investigation is being conducted against officials of the apparatus of the akim of the Karasu district under Article 366, Part 2, Article 367, Part 2, and Article 368, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the suspects is Radchenko V.N." - the statement says.
Previously, Viktor Radchenko held the posts of akim of Lisakovsk, the Kostanay district, and also akim of the Ereymentau district of the Akmola region.
