The court in the Zhanaozen district of the Mangystau region has announced the sentence for the former director of Kazakh Gas Processing Plant LLP (KazGPP) Bolat Baishuakov.

According to the press service of Anticor, he was found guilty of embezzling company property on a large scale by selling it illegally without holding an auction.
The court found Baishuakov guilty and sentenced him to 4 years in prison with a lifetime ban from holding positions in the civil service and in quasi-public sector entities.
It was previously reported that the damage caused by the former head of the enterprise exceeded 65 million tenge.
Incidentally, Baishuakov was appointed to the position of director of KazGPP in February 2023. Prior to this, he held the positions of chief engineer and deputy director of the plant, where he was responsible for organising production activities.
