A Kazakh national who was on an international wanted list for large-scale fraud has been detained in Novosibirsk.
According to Polisia.kz, last summer the suspect was working as a seller of electronics in a department store in Almaty.
Under the pretext of selling mobile phones and accessories, he deceived local residents, taking possession of their property worth more than 20 million tenge.
It is worth recalling that in December 2024, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan extradited a citizen of Uzbekistan from Russia to face criminal charges for fraud.
The suspect worked as an accountant at a construction company in Almaty. As a result of her illegal actions, more than 80 residents of Almaty suffered, with damages amounting to over 3.7 billion tenge.
