The Prosecutor's Office of the Urzhar district in the Abai region established that 15 inspectors were employed at the State National Natural Park "Tarbagatai" on the basis of fake higher education diplomas.
According to the press service of the department, some of them had worked in the national park for over 10 years.
"Currently, pre-trial investigations are being conducted under Part 3 of Article 385 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (use of a knowingly forged document)", the statement said.
The prosecutor's office reminded that the use of a knowingly forged document is punishable by a fine of up to 160 MCI (629,120 tenge) or arrest for up to 40 days.
It will be recalled that in October last year, cases of land grabbing, illegal construction, and the allocation of plots without a tender were identified in the Bayanauyl National Park.
