In Atyrau, a man who was drunk attacked medical workers in an ambulance because he was being filmed.

According to the Telegram channel «HALYQSTAN», on the evening of 2 October in the Balykyshi district, passers-by noticed a Toyota car in which two men were unconscious. Witnesses called an ambulance.

As reported by the police department, both men were heavily intoxicated. One was handed over to law enforcement officers, while the second, a 29-year-old resident of Atyrau with a leg injury, was loaded into the ambulance. However, the man regained consciousness and attacked the medical workers.

It is noted that he was wearing camouflage clothing. However, the police clarified that he has no connection to the security forces.

A criminal case was opened against the man under Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Driving a vehicle by a person deprived of the right to drive"). In addition, an administrative protocol was drawn up under Article 675 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Illegal wearing of uniforms and special equipment"). The case materials were sent to court.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health, with the participation of the head of the department Akhmaral Alnazarova and the chairman of the board of Kazakhtelecom JSC, Bagdat Mussin, discussed digital solutions using artificial intelligence.

The projects concerned improving the safety of medical personnel, expanding access to medical care for the rural population, and reducing the workload on doctors.

One such innovation was the introduction of smart video badges to improve the safety of medical workers. Five ambulance teams in Astana are already using the technology in a pilot mode, and a launch in Almaty is planned in the near future. The initiative was supported by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Later, the Ministry of Health, together with territorial police departments, ensured the operation of 152 round-the-clock police posts in medical organisations in Kazakhstan.

It was also reported that a project to equip ambulances with video surveillance systems is being implemented in Astana.
