The district's chief land officer in the Pavlodar region has been convicted.

The head of the land relations department of the Irtysh district in the Pavlodar region has been convicted. 

According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, 2 land plots covering more than 3,000 hectares were illegally provided to a large farm. To obtain a positive conclusion from the land commission, the official submitted distorted data.

"As a result of such actions, the state suffered damage in the form of an understatement of land rent by 80 million tenge, and the rights of rural residents were also violated, who, due to the created shortage of pastures, were forced to reduce the number of their personal livestock", the report says.

It became known that, following a prosecutor's supervision order, the lands were returned to the state, and they are now in common use by the local population. 

As a result, the court found the head of the land relations department guilty under paragraph 3 of part 4 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Abuse of official powers) and sentenced him to 3 years in prison.
