District Court No. 2 of the Medeu District of Almaty has announced the sentence for the director of the State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management "City Veterinary Service" M. Zhunusov and the procurement specialist of the same enterprise R. Zhaparkhan.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, they were found guilty of embezzling budget funds intended for the purchase of test systems for detecting animal plague, which were never delivered.
As a result, the court sentenced them to imprisonment for a term of 3 years to be served in a medium-security institution.
Recall that earlier it was reported that in the Kostanay region, 7 veterinarians are suspected of document forgery, entering false information into the animal registration information system, and receiving illegal remuneration.
