3.4 million stolen by the director and accountant of a medical institution in Shymkent

In Shymkent, the director and accountant of the State Institution "Medical and Physical Health Centre" have been convicted.

"The Interdistrict Criminal Court of Shymkent has passed a sentence against the head of the State Institution 'Medical and Physical Health Centre of Shymkent', I. Dolbilova, and the accountant of this organisation, M. Abdukarimova." - reported the press service of Anti-Corruption.

They were found guilty of embezzling budget funds. According to the investigation, the institution illegally paid salaries to a person who did not work there. The damage amounted to 3.4 million tenge

The court sentenced them to 2 years in prison with a lifetime ban from holding positions in public service.

Recall that in August, the court in Atyrau announced a sentence against the director of City Polyclinic No. 4, Ye. Sabirov, the head of maintenance, A. Alzhanova, the chief accountant, M. Dyusengaliyeva, and an entrepreneur, A. Yeraliyeva. They were accused of embezzling 231.8 million tenge by transferring funds to an entrepreneur without the actual provision of services.

Shortly before that, in Almaty, a sentence was announced against the accountants of a city polyclinic, K. Khangireyeva and A. Tuganbayeva. They were accused of embezzling budget funds. The damage exceeded 341 million tenge

In July, it was reported that the head of the Republican Scientific Centre for Dermatology and his deputy were suspected of corruption. This involved receiving a bribe of 5 million tenge from the head of the International Institute of Postgraduate Education. The bribe was intended for concluding a contract for the provision of advanced training services for medical workers.

Around the same time, a doctor from the capital's medical centre, Makishev, was convicted for receiving a bribe of 500,000 tenge. The medical centre doctor received the illegal reward from a patient for performing a routine surgical operation.
