The Karaganda ice hockey club "Saryarka" has accumulated debts of 170.4 million tenge since 2021 due to loans and reductions in budget funding.
According to the Telegram channel "Nege.Aqsha", the debt has led to a temporary suspension of work for the club's employees. This was revealed following an audit by UHY SAPA Consulting LLP, creditor claims, court orders for debt recovery, and accounting documents.
"According to the balance sheet for the first quarter of 2023, as of 31 March, the club's total debt, including employee salaries and mandatory contributions, amounted to 170,433,141.77 tenge", the judicial board's ruling states.
The Telegram channel "Uncle Vanya" links the ice hockey club's accumulated debts to the resignation of Nurlan Nigmatulin from the post of Speaker of the Mazhilis in 2022.
It is worth recalling that in early March, the former director of HC "Saryarka", Argn Nigmatulin, was placed on an international wanted list. It was noted that he and other individuals are suspected of embezzling budget funds allocated for the development of hockey in the Karaganda region.
Later, journalists conducted a detailed analysis of Argn Nigmatulin's assets, which revealed an extensive network of business interests and property in Kazakhstan and abroad.
