In early September, it was reported that the director of КЖСА (the Aktau Municipal Enterprise "Caspian Heat and Water Supply") had changed - the new director is Tanash Uskenov. As the editorial team has learned, he was previously convicted of fraud.
According to Lada.kz, from October 2009 to October 2012 he worked as an engineer in the geology department of the Zhanaozen municipal enterprise "Ozeninvest". From July to September 2022, he worked as deputy financial director at this same municipal enterprise. From September 2022 to April 2024, Uskenov already held the post of director at "Ozeninvest".
Meanwhile, ORDA writes that in 2012, Tanash Uskenov was convicted of fraud. It is reported that he and his accomplice took money from people for employment at "Ozenmunaigas", although subsequently they did not employ anyone.
As it became known, the sentence involved sums from 1 million to 3 million tenge per person.
The court then sentenced Uskenov and his accomplice to 5 years in a penal colony, but later their sentences were replaced with suspended sentences. And now, several years later, despite his criminal record, he has been entrusted with managing one of the most important municipal enterprises in Zhanaozen.
