A video filmed in one of the kindergartens in Taldykorgan in the Zhetysu region has been shared on social media, sparking public outrage. The footage shows cockroaches crawling among buns and other food products in the institution's canteen.
According to Liter.kz, the Taldykorgan city sanitary and epidemiological control department reported that an unscheduled inspection has been initiated regarding this incident.
"Specialists from the department registered an unscheduled inspection with the department of the committee for legal statistics and special records of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Zhetysu region to carry out an inspection of this kindergarten," the statement reads.
Based on the inspection results, measures will be taken against those responsible in accordance with current legislation.
As previously reported in February, more than 19 kg of oat flakes infested with insects were destroyed at the "Samal" kindergarten in the city of Kandyagash, Mugalzhar district, Aktobe region. Additionally, a fine was imposed on the institution.
