The Department of Ecology carried out an inspection of Xinxin China Construction and Development Company LLP at the request of the specialised environmental prosecutor's office of the East Kazakhstan Region.

According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, the partnership violated environmental legislation by operating an asphalt concrete plant and a crushing complex without an environmental permit for Category II facilities.

As a result, the company was held administratively liable under Article 328, Part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Violation of standards for permissible anthropogenic impact on the environment").

"By a court decision dated 04.03.2025, the guilt of the partnership was established, with a fine of 1 billion tenge imposed", the statement said.

The partnership filed an appeal with a higher court, but the appellate instance upheld the decision unchanged.

For reference, earlier the specialised environmental prosecutor's office of the West Kazakhstan Region fined the company Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. 740 million tenge for polluting the region's environment.
