In the town of Shchuchinsk, Burabay District of Akmola Region, a boiler explosion occurred followed by a fire on the premises of School-Lyceum No.7. There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
According to the regional department for emergency situations, the incident took place in a standalone boiler house building. A fire broke out after the explosion. Fire service units promptly arrived at the scene.
According to emergency services, firefighters managed to prevent the further spread of the fire. In particular, they saved two fuel tanks with a capacity of 10 cubic metres each and prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring buildings and structures.
According to available information, no one was injured. Specialists are currently investigating the causes of the incident.
