In Atyrau, more than ten professional drivers have been awarded the title of 'Exemplary Driver – 2025' for their impeccable adherence to traffic rules. The initiative, organised as part of the 'Year of Prevention' announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Yerzhan Sadenov, aims to increase the responsibility of road users and promote a culture of safe driving.

Officers from the Atyrau Regional Police Department conducted a nationwide campaign, during which they checked the driving offence history of each driver from the moment they obtained their licence. Those who had strictly followed the rules and committed no violations were presented with Letters of Appreciation on behalf of the Deputy Head of the Regional Police Department, Police Colonel Abdigani Seidualiyev.

The event was given a special atmosphere by the young traffic inspectors from School No. 33 named after Kasym Kaysenov. The schoolchildren presented the exemplary drivers with drawings on the theme 'Be careful behind the wheel!' and placed special 'Exemplary Driver' stickers on their cars.

At the conclusion of the campaign, police representatives reminded road users of the need to maintain utmost vigilance on the road, observe speed limits, take weather conditions into account, and keep in mind the safety of pedestrians, especially children.

According to the organisers, such preventive measures help foster a responsible attitude towards following traffic rules and contribute to creating a safe road environment in the region.

As previously reported, the Atyrau Regional Police used unmanned aerial vehicles to identify more than 600 traffic violations during adverse weather conditions in the autumn-winter period.
