According to the website of the Electronic Trading Platform, the State Institution 'Department of Finance of Almaty Region' is selling a residential house (197.4 sq.m), located at 23 E. Taibekov Street, Shubar neighbourhood, Yesil district, Astana. The balance holder is the State Public Institution 'Economic Management Department' of the Akimat of Almaty Region, and the permanent land user is the State Institution 'Office of the Akim of Almaty Region'.

The house price starts from 118.3 million tenge, and the auction is conducted on the basis of upward bidding. The market value, according to an assessment carried out in 2023, is also 118.3 million tenge excluding the cost of the land plot. The start of the auction is scheduled for 6 February.

The two-storey brick house, built in 1990, has 4 rooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a sauna, a storeroom and a boiler room. In addition, the plot contains a garage, a cold annexe, 2 sheds, a coal shed and a terrace.

In short, one need not worry about the profitability of the Office of the Akim of Almaty Region.

It will be recalled that earlier it became known that the armoured car Mercedes 600 SEL (Sonderschutz) GUARD B7, which belonged to Nursultan Nazarbayev, was put up for sale. The car was valued at a 'symbolic' 222 million tenge.

The luxurious residence with an area of 1600 sq.m. with a golf club, which belonged to the former president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, can also be purchased. But this time for 3.5 billion tenge. The residence is not being put up for sale for the first time. One wonders who will actually manage such a sizeable investment in elite real estate?

How much longer the 'old Kazakhstan' fire sale will last remains one of the main intriguing questions of recent years.
