The Department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) of the Kyzylorda Region has eliminated unproductive intermediaries in three regional hospitals.
According to the press service of the agency, the medical institutions had been purchasing socially significant food products at inflated prices using budget funds.
It is reported that after concluding contracts with wholesalers and manufacturers, the cost of 11 products decreased. In particular, prices for potatoes, carrots, cabbage and sugar were reduced. The saving of budget funds amounted to more than 6 million tenge.
It is worth recalling that earlier, the head of the branch of ROO «Ädіldіk zholy» in the East Kazakhstan Region, Adil Pshenov, reported that in the Glubokoe District, the foundation of a district hospital building, constructed 10 years ago, had begun to settle, and cracks had appeared on the walls. According to him, the hospital's kitchen block had been declared unsafe and was closed about a year ago.
