A college director has been convicted in Pavlodar. He was accused of embezzling the salaries of fictitious employees.
According to ORDA, as the head of the Higher College of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy, the defendant signed time sheets with distorted information about fictitious employees from 2013 to 2023.
As a result, the former director embezzled more than 130 million tenge. He only partially admitted his guilt. In addition, the defendant did not compensate for the damage caused to the budget.
Taking this into account, the court sentenced the former college director to 7 years in prison with confiscation of funds held in bank accounts.
At the same time, he was permanently banned from holding positions in the civil service.
Recall that earlier it became known that in Pavlodar, the director of a nursery school, in collusion with an accountant, committed embezzlement of nearly 63 million tenge. The court found them guilty and sentenced them to 7 years in prison.
