110 cases of corruption offences have been identified in Kazakhstan since the start of 2026

In January 2026, the National Security Committee (NSC) continued its work to combat corruption. The majority of identified corruption offences relate to bribery, fraud, and abuse of official position, the agency reported.

STATISTICS ON OFFENCES AND INVESTIGATIONS

Since the beginning of the year, 126 criminal offences have been registered, of which 110 are corruption-related crimes. Most of the identified cases are linked to bribery, fraud, and abuse of official position.

As a result of operational measures, the illegal activities of 89 individuals were stopped. In addition, investigations into 129 criminal cases have been completed, of which 121 have been sent to court.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

For the completed criminal cases, total damage amounting to 18 billion tenge has been established, of which more than 100 million tenge has already been received into the budget. Details on the methods of compensation or specific individuals involved in the cases are not included in the materials.
