The prosecutor's office of the North Kazakhstan Region has identified violations of children's rights, embezzlement of budget funds, non-compliance with sanitary standards and fire safety regulations in preschool institutions in the region.

According to the press service of the department, in the Ayrtau district, a preschool institution was found to have embezzled budget funds worth 11.2 million tenge.

In kindergartens in the Akkayinsky and Taiynshinsky districts, services were paid for children who were actually absent without valid reasons, resulting in an unjustified payment of 17 million tenge from the budget.

"Systematic violations of the requirements of current legislation in the field of fire and sanitary safety have been identified in almost all kindergartens in the region," the statement says.

It is reported that based on the acts of prosecutorial supervision, 11 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility, and 32 to administrative responsibility. 17 million tenge was reimbursed to the budget.

"In total, since the beginning of the year, the prosecutor's office bodies, in the area of minors, have protected the rights of 15 thousand children, and over 300 officials have been brought to various types of responsibility," the prosecutor's office said.

Recall that earlier it was reported that in Astana, heads of kindergartens, a director of an LLC and a kindergarten employee committed embezzlement totalling more than 35 million tenge.
