Prosecutors have identified a number of violations in preschool institutions in Astana.
According to the press service of the capital's prosecutor's office, some kindergartens fraudulently employed workers who were illegally paid salaries. Law enforcement officers have initiated pre-trial investigations into cases of theft.
In addition, prosecutors found that private kindergartens unreasonably charged parents for keeping places during the holidays.
Furthermore, other kindergartens stored expired medicines and also allowed violations in the storage and disposal of mercury-containing lamps.
"Based on the supervisory acts, measures have been taken to immediately eliminate the violations, and those responsible have been held accountable", the statement said.
Recall that in May, it became known that heads of kindergartens in Astana submitted applications for food products that they did not purchase, and also issued fictitious documents.
The money stolen in this way was subsequently transferred to the account of the director of a limited liability partnership. The damage exceeded 35 million tenge.
As a result, the court of first instance sentenced the heads to 3 years' imprisonment. The director of the limited liability partnership was sentenced to 4 years' imprisonment.
However, later, taking into account a number of mitigating circumstances, the heads' actual prison sentences were replaced with restrictions on liberty. The sentence against the director of the limited liability partnership was left unchanged.
