In the village of Akmetauyl, Nura District, a dry grass fire occurred on an open area. Volunteers from the fire brigade and rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) jointly extinguished the fire over an area of 45 hectares.
HOW THE EVENTS UNFOLDED
According to the press service of the MES, the first to arrive at the scene in the village of Akmetauyl were volunteers from the fire brigade established under the departmental programme ‘Aul qutqarushylary’. Thanks to their prompt and coordinated actions, further spread of the fire was prevented.
After the arrival of MES staff, firefighting continued jointly. As a result, the dry grass fire was fully extinguished.

Under this programme, voluntary fire brigades are established in populated areas to help extinguish fires before professional rescuers arrive.
