A video has been circulating on social media showing a Tesla Cybertruck with the insignia of the Civil Defence Service (СГО) and the Ministry of Emergency Situations (МЧС). The press service of the akimat of the Turkistan Region stated that information claiming the vehicle belongs to the region is false.
HOW THE DISCUSSION BEGAN
The discussion was sparked by a post from a Threads user, who claimed the vehicle was allegedly purchased for approximately 100 million tenge ahead of the summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States.
The video shows the vehicle with the logos of the СГО and МЧС. The author of the post criticised the potential purchase and stated that the funds could have been allocated to other equipment.
WHAT THE AKIMAT RESPONDED
According to the press service of the akimat of the Turkistan Region, the information being circulated on social media is false. The department reported that the state registration number of the vehicle shown in the video does not belong to the Turkistan Region.
The akimat also urged citizens to rely only on official information and reminded them that disseminating false information carries criminal liability.
CONTEXT
The Tesla Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck from the American company Tesla, Inc., known for its futuristic design and stainless steel bodywork.
At the end of 2025, a Tesla Cybertruck with МЧС insignia was also spotted in Almaty. It later emerged that the Department for Emergency Situations (ДЧС) of Almaty had ordered the vehicle from Zharyq LLP. The contract amount was 127.5 million tenge.
