WHAT MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN
After the violations were identified, the Department of Ecology initiated administrative cases against the company in accordance with the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The materials were sent for review to the Zhylyoi District Court.
THE COURT'S RULING
By a court decision dated 20 April 2026, Tengizchevroil LLP was found guilty and held administratively liable. The company was fined 53.7 million tenge.

Exceeding pollutant emission standards in Kazakhstan incurs financial penalties in accordance with the law.
For example, previously in the East Kazakhstan Region (EKR) Kazzinc LLP was held administratively liable and fined 20 million tenge for similar violations identified in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
