Employees of the company Q-Network, who maintain road cameras in Shymkent, have said they have not been paid for six months. According to them, around 40 workers have been left in this situation.

According to Ulysmedia.kz, the specialists are continuing to respond to callouts, connect internet to cameras and maintain equipment, despite not receiving payment.
One employee, Sapargali Tokbayev, said that because of the delayed wages, his family does not have enough money for everyday expenses. According to him, some workers have also fallen into debt during this time.
A manager at the company, Dias Yelemes, said his monthly salary is around 500,000 tenge. Over six months, by his calculations, the company owes him about 3 million tenge.
HOW THE COMPANY EXPLAINS THE DELAY IN PAYMENTS
The head of Q-Network, Serik Suyubekov, links the situation to the lack of payment from the general contractor.
According to him, the company received payment for January, after which payments stopped. Suyubekov claims that Q-Network sent three letters requesting that the debt be settled, but received no response.
The company head estimated the total alleged debt at 100 million tenge.
WHAT THE POLICE SAID
The police department of Shymkent city said it had fulfilled its financial obligations to the general contractor in full and has no outstanding debt to them.
This year, the Shymkent police department took 3,000 cameras onto its balance sheet. Thus, according to both sides, the dispute relates to settlements between the general contractor and the subcontractor organisation.
HOW THE EMPLOYEES INTEND TO SECURE THEIR PAYMENTS
Q-Network intends to pursue payment of the debt through the courts. Meanwhile, the employees continue to wait for their wages and carry out equipment maintenance work.
