Police officers have identified a group of foreign nationals who were working without permission in Kazakhstan. The violations were discovered in Ust-Kamenogorsk during an operational preventive operation aimed at monitoring migration legislation.
CHECKS CARRIED OUT DURING RAIDS
Officers from the Department of Police of the East Kazakhstan Region (DP EKR) checked the registered addresses of foreign nationals temporarily and permanently residing in the region as part of an operational preventive operation.
They also verified whether host individuals had submitted notifications regarding the presence of foreigners.
As a result, in just one day in Ust-Kamenogorsk, migration service officers identified 18 foreign nationals who were carrying out work activities without the necessary permits.
VIOLATIONS DISCOVERED DURING INSPECTION OF ONE ADDRESS
On 10 March, during an inspection of one address, police officers discovered citizens of a neighbouring state working without permission from the authorised body. In addition, they did not have permission for temporary stay in the country.
According to police, these foreign nationals had previously been held accountable for similar violations of migration legislation.
The head of the migration service department of the DP EKR, Rinat Shkibayev, reported that for repeated violation of the law, seven foreign nationals have been expelled from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
They have also been banned from entering the country for a period of five years.
THE EMPLOYER ALSO FACES LIABILITY
According to police information, the employer who allowed the use of foreign labour without the required documents will also be held accountable.
The migration service of the DP EKR reminded that temporarily staying foreign nationals are not entitled to work in Kazakhstan without permission from the authorised body.
