In Aktobe, passers-by discovered a newborn baby in a rubbish bag. The infant was taken to hospital, where he is under medical observation. The police are conducting operational measures to identify the child's mother.

The incident occurred on 23 May 2026.
According to the publication "My City", a newborn boy was found under a tree near abandoned garages.
The baby in the bag was discovered by an 11-year-old girl living in the area. Afterwards, the girl's parents called the police.
As reported by the press service of the Department of Police (DP) of Aktobe Region, the child was promptly taken to a medical facility.
"The police are carrying out operational measures aimed at identifying the child's mother," the department reported.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE INFANT'S CONDITION
Deputy Head of the Health Department of Aktobe Region, Aigul Amanzholova, reported that the newborn was taken to the city children's hospital with hypothermia.
"The child with hypothermia was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit, where necessary therapeutic measures were carried out. As of today, the child's condition is assessed as stable," said Aigul Amanzholova.
