According to the Police Department of the Zhambyl region, the infant was found in a rubbish container in the military settlement of Gvardeisky.
The girl is currently in a medical facility.
WHAT THE POLICE SAID
The Police Department of the Zhambyl region reported that a criminal case has been opened in connection with leaving a newborn in danger.
Police officers are carrying out operational search and investigative measures. They are establishing the identity of the child's mother and determining all the circumstances of the incident.

CONTEXT
In May 2026 in Aktobe, passers-by discovered a newborn baby in a rubbish bag. The infant was taken to hospital, where he remained under the supervision of doctors.
Later, the child was transferred to the orphanage "Ümit". After the necessary documents were processed, the boy was adopted, but his biological mother could not be found. Search efforts are ongoing.
