In July, operational search activities were carried out in Almaty, Shymkent and 8 regions of Kazakhstan to suppress the illegal trafficking of weapons. As a result of the operation, 31 units of weapons, as well as 2 grenades and 278 rounds of ammunition were seized.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE OPERATION
According to the press service of the Committee for National Security (CNS), the activities were carried out jointly with police authorities and under the coordination of the prosecutor's office.
During the operation, 31 units of weapons were seized, including 4 assault rifles, 20 shotguns and 7 pistols. In addition, law enforcement agencies seized 2 grenades and 278 rounds of ammunition.
