In Ust-Kamenogorsk, police officers identified a case of selling alcohol without a licence. During the inspection, 436 units of alcohol were confiscated from circulation, and administrative proceedings were initiated over the violation.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to Polisia.kz, the violation was uncovered during the republican operational and preventive campaign “Alcohol-Free Village”. Police officers stopped the sale of alcohol at one of the retail outlets in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
It was established that an individual entrepreneur was selling alcohol without the licence required under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Administrative proceedings have been initiated regarding this incident.
WHAT PRODUCTS WERE SEIZED
During the procedural actions, 436 units of alcohol were seized from illegal circulation. These included 254 bottles of strong alcoholic drinks and 182 units of beer products.
The seized goods were recognised as material evidence. The products were placed in safekeeping pending a procedural decision.
WHAT THE POLICE REPORTED
The Police Department of the East Kazakhstan Region (DP EKR) reminded that the sale of alcohol is only permitted with the appropriate authorisation documents.
The department also noted that efforts to identify and suppress cases of illegal alcohol trafficking are ongoing.
