WHAT HAPPENED
According to Syrmedia.kz, the incident occurred in the courtyard of a residential building in Astana. According to a female resident of the housing complex, the man was shouting loudly and waving an object resembling a knife.
She noted that this man had not been seen in the courtyard before. At the same time, according to her, he did not touch anyone and soon left the playground area.
According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.
POLICE RESPONSE
According to information from the Police Department (DP) of the city of Astana, the 39-year-old man was detained approximately 20 minutes after a call was made to the number 102.
During the arrest, the man insulted police officers and made threats. He was held accountable for petty hooliganism, and the case materials have been sent to court for a decision.
The offender is currently being held in a temporary detention cell.
