An entrepreneur from the village of Volgodonovka, Arshaly District, Akmola Region, dismantled a children's playground he had built at his own expense several years ago. The decision was made after the court ordered him to pay 1.25 million tenge to the family of an injured girl as compensation for material and moral damages.
WHY THE ENTREPRENEUR DISMANTLED THE PLAYGROUND
According to the Telegram channel «HALYQSTAN», the entrepreneur had previously equipped a children's playground on a vacant plot, installing a play complex, swings, and a wooden gazebo.
In 2025, an accident occurred while children were playing on the playground. A girl fell from a slide and sustained a head injury.
WHAT DECISION THE COURT MADE
The child's mother filed a lawsuit, stating that the playground did not meet safety requirements. In her opinion, there was no special impact-absorbing surface near the slide.
After nearly a year of legal proceedings, the court upheld the claim and ordered the entrepreneur to pay 1.25 million tenge as compensation for material and moral damages.
WHAT THE ENTREPRENEUR SAYS
The entrepreneur disagreed with the court's decision. According to him, the child was on the playground without adult supervision, and the slide installed was made of special safe plastic.
Despite this, the man stated he would comply with the court ruling.
After the proceedings concluded, he completely dismantled the playground. The play equipment and gazebo were transferred to a neighbouring district, and the area where the playground was located has, according to him, returned to its original state.

However, the man refused financial assistance, stating he would fulfil the court's decision on his own. According to him, after what happened, he is no longer willing to take responsibility for creating such facilities.
