In the 6th microdistrict of Temirtau, Karaganda Region, rescuers evacuated 13 people, including 7 children, from a fire in a five-storey residential building. The fire started in a flat on the first floor.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), a fire broke out involving rubbish and two door frames in the entrance hall of a flat on the first floor of a five-storey residential building in the 6th microdistrict of Temirtau.
Emergency services from the MES arrived promptly at the scene and began a rescue operation.
HOW THE RESCUE OPERATION WAS CARRIED OUT
MES personnel used rescue hoods to evacuate people from the smoke-filled building. As a result, 13 people, including 7 children, were rescued.
The reports do not specify whether medical assistance was required for the victims.
WHEN THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED
The fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
MES reminded the public that in the event of a fire, it is necessary to remain calm, immediately report the incident by calling 112, leave the danger zone if possible, and follow the instructions of the rescuers.
