In the new eco-park “Қызылтас — Тасбақа” in Taldykorgan, unknown individuals broke an eco-bench and lit a fire from its fragments. The fire spread to the neighbouring bench.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to the Telegram channel “HALYQSTAN”, vandals damaged the eco-bench and then used its fragments for a fire. The fire spread to a nearby bench, and those involved fled the scene.
The police are identifying the individuals involved in the incident and are searching for them.
After the incident, city services are strengthening security at the eco-park. The Department of Housing and Communal Services (HCS) of Taldykorgan is installing CCTV cameras so that the territory of the site is under constant surveillance.
WHEN THE PARK OPENED
The first stage of the eco-park’s improvement was completed and opened on 5 September. It features recreation areas, a viewing platform, a photo zone, a sanitary facility and bins.
The project is designed for three stages, and its full completion is planned for 2027.
50 million tenge was allocated from the city budget for the creation of the eco-park.
