In Almaty, the development of design and estimate documentation (DED) for a new metro line has begun, which will connect the under-construction station "Kalkaman" with the "Barlyk" market. 2.96 billion tenge has been allocated from the city budget for these purposes.
WHAT WORK IS ENVISAGED
The tender for the development of the DED has already been posted on the public procurement website. The submission of applications from potential contractors will take place from 4 to 9 June.
The design work will be carried out without advance payment. The contractor must finance the work from their own funds, and payment is provided after the full completion and handover of the documentation. The contractor is also obliged to provide a guarantee for a period of three years.
WHERE THE NEW METRO BRANCH WILL GO
The new metro line will run along Abay Avenue in a western direction. The route will then turn north along Alatau Avenue and emerge onto Raiymbek Avenue.
This section will see the construction of three new underground stations.
WHAT STATIONS ARE ENVISAGED BY THE PROJECT
It is planned to locate stations:
- on Alatau Avenue, north of Abay Avenue;
- on Alatau Avenue, closer to Tole bi Street;
- a terminal station on the territory of the "Barlyk" market.
