In Almaty, individuals suspected of kidnapping and causing serious bodily harm have been detained. During searches, weapons and ammunition were seized from them, which, according to the investigation, could have been used to put pressure on businesses.
WHAT WAS SEIZED DURING THE SEARCHES
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), as part of the criminal investigation, all those involved have been detained. Their actions are being investigated on charges of kidnapping and causing grievous bodily harm.
Law enforcement agencies carried out 17 authorised searches. During the investigative actions, firearms, including combat pistols and a Kalashnikov assault rifle without identification numbers, were removed from illegal circulation.
Approximately 500 rounds of ammunition of various calibres were also seized.
