Who paid the most tax in 2023?

Forbes Kazakhstan has presented the top 10 largest taxpayers for 2023. The leader of the ranking is KAZ Minerals, which contributed 466.6 billion tenge to the budget, accounting for nearly a third of all taxes paid by the 75 largest private companies in the country.

According to Forbes.kz, second place was taken by Astana Motors, which paid taxes of 139.3 billion tenge. In third place was Kazakhmys Corporation LLP with a payment of 100.5 billion tenge.

The full list of the ten largest taxpayers is as follows:

  • KAZ Minerals — 466.6 billion tenge;
  • Astana Motors Kazakh Motor Company LLP — 139.3 billion tenge;
  • Kazakhmys Corporation LLP — 100.5 billion tenge;
  • Transnational Company Kazchrome JSC — 97.4 billion tenge;
  • Kaspiy Neft JSC — 72.5 billion tenge;
  • Orbis Auto — 63.4 billion tenge;
  • BI Group — 48.3 billion tenge;
  • Sokolov-Sarbai Mining and Processing Production Association JSC (SSGPO) — 42.8 billion tenge;
  • gold mining company RG Gold — 38.4 billion tenge;
  • Qarmet JSC — 36.4 billion tenge.

In addition, KAZ Minerals also topped the ranking of the largest private companies in Kazakhstan, with revenue of 1.8 trillion tenge and net profit of 406.8 billion tenge.
