The wife of the co-owner of the Kaspi group Vyacheslav Kim — Tatyana Kim — owns the Wishanger Manor estate in the English county of Surrey. It is reported that the property was purchased in 2021 for £20 million (13.7 billion tenge) and became the largest real estate deal in the region at that time. Tatyana Kim also bought a coach house worth £1.6 million (over 1 billion tenge).

According to the Telegram channel ‘Access to the Sea’, Wishanger Manor is one of the oldest estates in the area: the first mention dates back to 1167. The estate, covering more than 16 hectares, includes the main building, a security lodge, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a pond, and several wooded areas. It is located in the English countryside but within commuting distance of London (about 80 km) and Heathrow Airport (approximately 56 km).

It has emerged that the estate's renovation plan raised questions from local officials. According to documents from the British Planning Inspectorate, the complaints concerned the accuracy of the form regarding ‘biodiversity preservation’, particularly the potential impact of construction on bat populations.

In addition, the authorities demanded the removal of a new wooden fence 2.5 metres high. In his conclusion, the inspector stated that the fence ‘creates an unjustified sense of enclosure’ and ‘clashes with the surrounding natural environment’. The owner's arguments about the need for enhanced security were considered unsubstantiated by the inspector.

As a result, following an appeal, the requirements were relaxed: the complete removal of the fence was replaced by an obligation to reduce its height to one metre.

It is noted that Vyacheslav Kim's wealth has more than tripled over the past three years, from $2 billion (over 1 trillion tenge) to $7.1 billion (3.6 trillion tenge). The significant growth is partly linked to Kaspi's listing on the NASDAQ stock exchange in January last year.

In July of this year, another financial asset, previously linked to the structures of the family of former president Nursultan Nazarbayev, came under the control of Vyacheslav Kim.

This refers to Jusan Bank, which after a change of owner and branding was renamed Alatau City Bank. This asset was controlled by the structures of Pioneer Capital and Jusan Technologies, and then went through several cycles of re-registration amid legal disputes. The bank is now officially part of Kim's business portfolio.

The family's property in the UK is not limited to the estate in Surrey. As previously reported, Tatyana Kim owns two apartments in London's Mayfair with a total value of £25.7 million (17.6 billion tenge).

At the same time, it was noted that Tatyana Kim has begun the process of liquidating her British company ‘Evoshave Limited’, which manufactured razor blades under the same name.

One of the company's partners was Alexander Friedman — the son of Russian billionaire Mikhail Friedman. The oligarch was previously subject to sanctions by the US, EU, UK, and Canada following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
