In secondary school No. 6 in the Munaylinsky District of the Mangystau Region, violations totalling nearly 26 million tenge have been identified.
According to the press service of the Supreme Audit Chamber, the educational institution was found to have inflated payroll costs, unjustified additional payments and bonuses to individual employees, as well as failure to carry out official travel assignments and incorrect documentation of travel orders.
"Thus, various violations totalling 25,891.5 thousand tenge have been identified. Based on the results of the state audit, it has been instructed to take measures to reimburse budget funds and restore accounting records, as well as to consider the liability of officials who allowed violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the statement reads.
Earlier, prosecutors in the Zhetysu Region identified more than 300 violations of sanitary and epidemiological standards and fire safety in educational institutions in the region.
It was also reported that Anti-Corruption Almaty, together with the Almaty branch of the republican public association 'Adildik Zholy', uncovered financial violations in secondary school No. 141. The accountant of the aforementioned school is suspected of having embezzled budget funds from 2019 to 2023, causing damage to the state in the amount of 57,773,400 tenge.
