A prosecutor's inspection in the Kostanay Region has shown that a significant number of construction companies are operating in violation of mandatory licensing requirements. This concerns systemic discrepancies affecting the material and technical base and staffing, which directly impacts the legality of construction activities in the region.
WHAT THE INSPECTION REVEALED
As reported by the Kostanay Region Prosecutor's Office, more than 200 licensees were identified during supervisory measures that were carrying out construction activities without owning or leasing production bases. Additionally, these companies lacked the certified engineering and technical personnel stipulated by the Unified Qualification Requirements.
WHAT MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN
Following the inspection, protocols were drawn up against 64 licensees under Article 464 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Violation of Licensing Standards"). After reviewing the cases, 17 companies were brought to administrative responsibility with fines totalling 3.4 million tenge. Furthermore, the validity of 16 licences has been suspended, and another 2 licences have been revoked.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
The supervisory authority reported that work to eliminate the identified violations and to bring the activities of licensees into compliance with legal requirements is ongoing.
