The Prosecutor’s Office of the North Kazakhstan Region returned unclaimed property worth 200 million tenge to state ownership.
According to the press service of the department, officials from the Department of Economy and Finance of the Esil District Akimat failed to take measures to transfer 14 unclaimed properties to municipal ownership, including a water tower, a village club building, a transformer substation, a well, water supply distribution networks, and others.
Similar violations were identified in the Department of Economy and Finance of the Akimat of Shal Akyn District concerning unclaimed water supply networks with a length of 6 km.
In the Kyzylzhar District, the Housing and Utilities Department did not take measures to recover equipment held by a contractor worth 13.1 million tenge.
Under acts of prosecutorial supervision, the guilty officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility. The unclaimed properties and equipment were returned to state ownership.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year, through prosecutorial oversight measures in the region, property worth a total of 30 billion tenge has been returned to state ownership.
