At a private ticket office at Almaty railway station, tickets were being sold at inflated prices.
This was reported by the press service of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" (KTZ).
"At the Almaty-1 railway station, another investigation was carried out involving the public and the media, which revealed the fact that tickets were being sold at a private ticket office at twice the set price", the statement said.
It was reported that the private ticket office's operations have been suspended for the duration of the inspection. The investigation materials have been transferred to the relevant authorities.
It is noted that earlier, a fraudulent scheme involving the resale of travel documents was uncovered at a private ticket office at Almaty-2 station.
