Submitted by Вера Александрова on

In February, teachers from the village of Korday in the Korday district of the Zhambyl region stated that they were being forced to buy tickets to a concert by singer Aibek Kaibully. Local journalist Gulmira Abykai noted at the time that teachers were compelled to pay for the tickets, even if they did not attend the concert.

According to Informburo.kz, the regional department for quality assurance in education investigated complaints from teachers about the forced purchase of concert tickets.

It became known that the chief inspector of the Korday district akimat asked a specialist from the education department to purchase the tickets, after which he ordered them to be distributed among school principals.

As a result, the chief inspector of the akimat, the chief specialist of the education department, and a number of school principals were subjected to disciplinary measures in the form of a warning

"In addition, explanatory work was carried out to prevent similar violations in the future", the statement said.

Recall that in February, teachers at private schools in the Turkestan region appealed to the regional akimat with complaints about unpaid wages. It was reported at the time that the transfer of funds had been delayed due to untimely financing from the republican budget.
