According to the press service of the Shymkent prosecutor's office, budget funds had previously been allocated for the delivery of coal and renovation work at Secondary School No. 73

At the same time, the department identified cases of monthly salary accruals to employees who did not actually work at the educational institution.

As a result, the district prosecutor's office initiated a pre-trial investigation against the school's management under paragraph 1, part 3 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property).

It is worth recalling that earlier, it was reported that in the Kyzylorda region, the head of the State Institution 'Education Department of Zhanakorgan District', B. Ibragimova, the chief accountant of the State Institution, K. Ayazbayeva, and accountants from 24 schools were found guilty of embezzling more than 1 billion tenge

The court sentenced the head and chief accountant of the institution to 8 years in prison, and one of the school's accountants to 7 years in prison, with a deferral of the sentence for a period of 5 years due to having a minor child in their care.
