The Almaty Prosecutor's Office returned the shares of JSC "Kaskor-Transservice", which operates in the field of road and rail transport, to state ownership.
According to the press service of the department, in 2019 the foreign oil company "AktauPetrol Ticaret AS" concluded a settlement agreement with the state.
"The investor was required to voluntarily transfer 515,000 shares of JSC 'Kaskor-Transservice' to the state as part of settling a dispute related to the expropriation of assets," the statement said.
Despite these conditions, the disputed shares were illegally held by a third-party company — LLP "Oil Stream".
In this regard, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit with the court to invalidate the transaction. As a result, the appellate instance ruled to uphold the court's decision to satisfy the prosecutor's office's claims.
Earlier, in the Mangystau region, the court ordered JSC "Kaskor-Transservice" to transfer the main railway network to state ownership.
