In the Kostanay region, a sentence has been passed on three residents of the Beimbet Mailin district. They were found guilty of embezzling state subsidies intended for livestock feed and breeding work.

According to the regional prosecutor's office press service, an inspection revealed cases of fraud on an especially large scale. The defendants illegally appropriated over 96 million tenge designated for livestock farming support.

Due to full admission of guilt, the trial was conducted under a summary procedure.

As a result, the defendants were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment and taken into custody in the courtroom. In addition, over 96 million tenge was recovered from the convicted individuals in favour of the state. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.

Recall that it was previously reported that the head of an LLP from the Zhetysu region had, over the course of two years, illegally received subsidies from the agriculture department allocated by the state for the processing of dairy products. The total damage exceeded 300 million tenge.
