In the district hospital of the village of Akkuly in the Pavlodar region, deputies of the maslikhat identified numerous defects after repairs, the cost of which amounted to approximately 405 million tenge.
According to Bes.media, despite the contractor's assurances that all work was fully completed, the inspection revealed significant deficiencies in the engineering systems.
As reported by deputy Sabiden Mantykov, radiators are "wobbly" in the rooms, ceilings are leaking, and ventilation units are not sealed.
The deputies stated that the situation requires further technical expertise and official explanations from both the client and the contracting organisation.
The situation surrounding the hospital had previously attracted the attention of supervisory authorities. It was reported that last year, the medical facility owed entrepreneurs more than 18 million tenge for supplied goods and services. Some suppliers had been unable to secure payment for over five years.
Following the inspection, full payment was made to 83 entrepreneurs, and the hospital acknowledged that the debts arose from erroneous expenditure planning. The responsible officials received disciplinary sanctions.
Earlier, it was reported that at the city infectious diseases hospital in Shymkent, due to a shortage of beds, mothers with sick children were forced to lie on the floor in corridors. Video from the facility was taken by visitors and shared on social media.
