The Ministry of Transport has proposed using funds from the Special State Fund to complete the reconstruction of Pavlodar airport. The project is short of 9.3 billion tenge to continue.

According to Kursiv.media, the proposal has already been supported by the Republican Budget Commission and has been included in the draft budget for 2026–2028.

It has become known that the reconstruction of the airport began last year. The contractor is Kyrylys Group RK LLP, with a total contract value of 16.4 billion tenge.

In 2024, 4.8 billion tenge was allocated from the National Fund for the project, which was used to purchase materials and equipment, as well as to pay for construction and installation work.

In the current year, an additional 2.26 billion tenge has been allocated to the project. Of this, 833.6 million tenge was spent on construction work, and another 627 million tenge on the purchase of equipment and materials.

To date, approximately 44% of the work has been completed: a perimeter fence stretching 17.5 km has been built, lighting and video surveillance systems have been installed, and the drainage system and the base of the runway have been assembled.

The completion of the reconstruction was initially planned for autumn 2024, then the deadline was postponed to November 2025. Now, taking into account the climatic conditions of the region, construction is scheduled to be completed by September 2026.

Recall that earlier, 5.6 billion tenge was allocated from the Special State Fund (https://t.me/fund_anticorr/9430) for healthcare projects in the Abai Region. These funds are intended to strengthen the material and technical base of medical organisations and improve the quality of medical care provided to the population.
