The volume of insurance payments made by the State Annuity Company (SAC) in 2025 exceeded 2.7 billion tenge. More than 257,000 people received insurance cover.

PAYMENTS AND INSURANCE COVER

According to the SAC, during the year the company concluded 3,700 contracts across all insurance products. The majority of contracts were for compulsory insurance of employees against accidents during the performance of their work duties (CIA).

Under the CIA contracts and other programmes, payments were made to insured employees upon the occurrence of social risks for:

  • reimbursement of expenses for treatment, rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment;
  • periodic payments under annuity insurance in the event of loss of professional ability to work;
  • payments related to the loss of a breadwinner;
  • periodic payments under pre-retirement annuity contracts for employees engaged in harmful working conditions;
  • payment of funeral expenses in the event of an employee's death as a result of an accident at work.

INSURANCE PREMIUMS AND REINSURANCE

In 2025, the volume of collected insurance premiums under CIA contracts amounted to 4.3 billion tenge.

Chairman of the Management Board of the SAC, Kuanysh Mukazhanov, reported that during the year the company became a member of an insurance (reinsurance) pool. Within its framework, risks under CIA contracts are transferred to proportional reinsurance with the distribution of liability between market participants. Work is also underway to obtain a reinsurance licence.

VOLUNTARY AND PENSION PRODUCTS

In addition to compulsory insurance, the SAC provides voluntary life insurance. In 2025, the company began selling the Demeu savings product in US dollars, as well as the Demeu Business product, designed for corporate clients.

A separate area of the company's activity remains pension annuities, which allow the receipt of pension payments before reaching the generally established retirement age:

  • men — from 55 years;
  • women — from 53 years;
  • in the presence of mandatory professional pension contributions for at least five years — from 50 years.

Payments under pension annuities are made for life.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PENSION SAVINGS

To conclude a pension annuity contract in 2026, the following amounts of pension savings in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) are required:

  • men — 10,715,001 tenge;
  • women — 14,039,988 tenge;
