The Prosecutor's Office of the Kyzylorda region has identified violations of the rights of a number of workers, which led to wage arrears.
According to the press service of the department, 2,360 workers employed under the "Youth Practice" programme did not receive their salaries for January, amounting to 263.9 million tenge.
"As a result of the submitted act of prosecutorial supervision, the debt was fully repaid, the constitutional rights of 2,360 young workers were restored, and the managers and employees of the authorised employment institution were brought to disciplinary responsibility", the statement said.
For reference: the goal of the "Youth Practice" programme is to employ university graduates to gain initial work experience in their chosen profession (specialty).
Recall that earlier, the prosecutor's office of the Kostanay region identified violations of the rights of education workers totalling more than 223 million tenge. Teachers were not paid compensation upon retirement or travel expenses.
